NMSU sports teams to get tax break on road ‘money games’

SANTA FE >> New Mexico State University will be able to pocket all of the money earned when their sports teams play road games under a bill passed by the Legislature Friday night.

Senate Bill 271, which was passed unanimously in both the House and Senate, exempts the Aggies from having to pay gross receipts tax when they play so-called “money games” out of state.
