NM State’s No. 1 individual won all three singles and doubles matches last weekend. Shrivistava also helped the Aggies begin WAC play 3-0. Against UMKC, she defeated Dimitra Stravrianakou, 6-4, 6-0. On Saturday, Shrivistava claimed a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Chicago State’s Hanna Pangestu. She concluded the opening WAC weekend by defeating Michelle Lui of Seattle U, 6-2, 6-7, 10-5. In doubles play, Shrivistava and partner Denise Van Der Ben also claimed three victories in the opening WAC weekend.

This is the sixth time a NM State player has garnered WAC Athlete of the Week honors this season, with Shrivistava being named for a third time.

During the fall season, Shrivistava swept the WAC women’s tennis Athlete of the Month awards, as she claimed the award during the months of September and October.

Senior Susana Alcaraz has also been named WAC Athlete of the Week three times this spring.

The Aggies are set to play three dual-matches in Miami, Fla., staring on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. (MT) against Florida International.
