According to FBSchedules.com, the News Mexico State Football Team will be playing Texas A&M in College Station on October 29th 2016. It will be the first meeting of the two schools on the Football field.
New Mexico State will be paid $1.5 million for the game. This completes NMSU’s 2016 schedule. They play New Mexico (Sept. 10) in Las Cruces, at San Diego State (Sept. 24), and at UTEP (date TBA).
Texas A&M will host the Aggie in the newly renovated Kyle Field. Texas A&M will have completed a $450 Million dollar renovation of Kyle Field. Renovations include a stadium capacity of over 100,000 and the largest video display board in all of college football. More on the renovations of Kyle Field can be found HERE.
New Mexico State will be able to keep all of the $1.5 million, as they no longer have to pay a gross receipts tax to the state of New Mexico for money games. Up until March of 2015 New Mexico State was the only university that had to pay a tax to the state of New Mexico for money games.
I predict Aggies will win on 10/29/16.
