Brynn Larson named a UEC Rider of Year

FRESNO, Calif. – New Mexico State senior Brynn Larson was named a United Equestrian Conference Rider of the Year during the UEC Championships last weekend.

Larson, the Brush Prairie, Wash., senior in her fourth season riding for the Aggies, won the UEC award in Reining with an impressive season.

Larson chalked up a regular season win rate of 87.5 percent, with an average score of 70.3 and one MOP award.

In conference riding alone, the Aggie senior went undefeated during the regular season and suffered only one loss on the road.

‘She had an impressive year,” said NM State head coach Robin Morris-Walters. “She’s a rock, we can always count on her.”

Larson adds the conference honor to her first team NCEA All-American and NCEA All-Acadmeic honors from last season.
