LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Coach of the Year Mark Trakh and the Western Athletic Conference champion New Mexico State women’s basketball team are hosting two camps from June 19-25, a team camp and a youth camp.
The team camp will be held June 19-21 at the Pan American Center and is open to all levels of girls’ high school competitors. Entry fee for the camp is $325 per team, which guarantees at least five games with pool and bracket play along with instructional clinics from college coaches.
The team camp will be followed by a youth camp to be held June 22-25 at the Pan American Center facilities. The youth camp is open to both boys and girls from five years of age to 12th graders. Entry fee for the youth camp, which will run daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break, is $100 per participant. There is also a half-day option available for $50. Lunch will be provided for a $5 daily fee or participants may also bring their own sack lunch.
Instructors will teach fundamental skills through drills and fun games. Advanced participants will participate in competitive drills and have more in-depth instruction.
