DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) today announced a new partnership with Under Armour and certified Under Armour sports ball distributor PSI 91 that establishes Under Armour as the Official Tournament Ball Provider of the WAC starting with the 2015 men’s and women’s soccer tournaments and continuing through the 2018 WAC Basketball
“We are thrilled to align the Western Athletic Conference with committed partners such as Under Armour and PSI 91,” WAC Commissioner Jeff Hurd said. “We look forward to working together to enhance the quality of resources available to our student-athletes and further showcase the WAC as an emerging national athletic conference.”
As the Official Tournament Ball Provider of the WAC, Under Armour inflatable balls will be used in the conference’s men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s basketball tournaments beginning in the 2015-16 academic year, as well as the WAC Volleyball Tournament, beginning in 2017. The partnership also includes plans for an engaging I Made The Switch social media campaign, where fans will create videos or memes for a chance to win Under Armour balls for their sport or organization.
